Election of Steering Committee

The Research Council has elected a Steering Committee composed of international experts.

​The Steering Committee of NRP 72 is composed of eight experts from Switzerland and abroad and presided over by Professor Christoph Dehio from Biozentrum, University of Basel. The members of the Steering Committee cover the different disciplines and fields addressed in NRP 72. One of the Committee members is Professor Peter Frey, who represents the Commission for Technology and Innovation.

Karin Wäfler, Project Leader of the Swiss National Strategy against Antibiotic Resistance (StAR) at the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), will represent the Federal Government and, as delegate of the Programmes division, Professor Isabelle Mansuy will be responsible for coordinating the two bodies. Barbara Flückiger Schwarzenbach is the programme manager.

The Research Council appoints a Steering Committee for each National Research Programme. The Steering Committee is responsible for the entire process, from the selection of projects through to the programme synthesis.
